STEAM Days
STEAM Days are designed to be a dynamic learning experience for all MUSE students. STEAM Days allow students to explore new friendships with students of varying ages, explore their passions and grow their critical thinking skills all while engaging in each element of STEAM. On STEAM days, our early childhood students participate in carefully craft STEAM lessons by our teachers. Over the course of the year, students rotate through each of the STEAM lessons exploring and making new friendships. Some STEAM topics have included extreme sports, weather, acting, cooking, habitats and many more! As students grow and become more familiar with the STEAM approach, they are able to identify which elements of STEAM interest them. On STEAM Days, our elementary students participate in STEAM clubs. Teachers craft their Club topics based on their own passions and expertise as well as the ever-evolving passions of the students. Students are able to express their voice when they choose which of the STEAM Clubs they would like to attend. STEAM Club topics have included popsicle physics, power poetry, nature sketching, coding and sculpture.
