MUSE Summer & Virtual Camp 2020

Please join us for the MUSE Summer & Virtual Camp!

MUSE School has been in constant communication with The Department of Social Services, the Department of Public Health, and the Center for Disease Control.  We are so excited to have been given permission to open doors this summer for students to enjoy the campus! 

If you decide to enroll your student in an on-campus summer camp please read below the guidelines that have been created in accordance with the agencies mentioned above. As they continually are updated, we will be sending out the most current guidelines the week prior to camp. 
 
On-Campus Camp Offerings

  • 1. Early Childhood Camp - Pirate Week

    For ages 3-5 years old
    July 6th - 10th
    9am - 3pm
    $500.00

    Shiver me timbers me hearties! Pirate adventures await full of playful learning and a variety of engaging pirate reading, math, science, art and sensory activities for memorable exploration. Campers will learn how to talk like a pirate, create sunken treasure discovery bottles, search for hidden treasures, sail the seas in the ECE yard, and walk the plank!
    I look forward to sailing the 7 seas with your little Pirate!
  • 2. Early Childhood Camp - Outdoor Education & Fun With Nature

    For ages 3-5 years old
    July 13th - 17th
    9am - 3pm
    $500.00 + $100 Materials Fee

    We will be exploring and investigating nature, going on exciting adventures around campus, and engaging in awesome nature activities and crafts. There will be opportunities to hike, go swimming, climb the rock wall, and play field games. An outdoor classroom of fun and adventure awaits!
  • 3. Early Childhood Camp - Wildlife Adventure

    For ages 3-5 years old
    July 20th - 24th
    9am - 3pm
    $500.00

    Adventure awaits at MUSE's Wildlife Adventure Camp, where your junior explorers will connect with nature and discover wildlife through a variety of fun, messy, imagination-inspiring activities that are sure to cultivate a love of the outdoors.
  • 4. Early Childhood Camp - Nature Camp

    For ages 3-5 years old
    July 27th - 31st
    9am - 3pm
    $500.00

    Explore the great outdoors at Nature Camp! We will choose nature-based camp names, use natural materials to create art, go on nature walks and scavenger hunts, plant seeds, and learn about how plants and animals grow and live together.
  • 6. Early Childhood Camp - Imagination Camp

    For ages 3-5 years old
    August 3rd - 7th
    9am - 3pm
    $500.00

    **Students encouraged to dress up according to each day’s theme** There will also be opportunity for swimming each day.

    Monday: Fairies in the Forest
    ~ Hands on learning: make enchanted fairy gardens
    ~ fairy stories/ “If I was a fairy...” brainstorming prompt/ fairy exploring around campus/ fairy dust letters/

    Tuesday: Astronauts in Outer Space
    ~ Hands on learning: create your own planet with marble rolling/ tins/ paint. Galaxy jars. 
    ~ astronaut outfit construction using recycled materials/ Astronaut action words/ Astronaut song and dance/ astronaut books/ rocket ships- blast off!

    Wednesday: Mythical Creatures
    ~ Hands on learning: unicorn manes with rainbow string/ dragon fire, hot vs cold experiment / dragon fire slime/ mermaid tails-metallic art/
    ~ mythical creatures habitats, mythical creatures stories

    Thursday: Magic
    ~ Hands on learning:community magic show-self efficacy activity
    ~ abracadabra card tricks /AB color patterns with cards/magic potions/ measuring out height with a deck of cards/ hide and seek/ bunny hops

    Friday: Wizards
    ~ Hands on learning: Wizard Wands, a fine motor skill
    ~ Spell book, a literacy activity/ Wizard shapes/ Wizard’s Brew- a science experiment/ wonderful wizard hats!
  • 6. Musical Theatre Camp: Shrek

    For ages 8-12 years old
    July 13th - 17th
    9am - 3pm
    $500.00 + $100.00 Materials Fee

    Days involve singing, acting, dancing, theater games, swimming and each week will revolve around a different show. At the end of each week, there will be a short, informal performance for the parents at pick up time.
  • 7. Musical Theatre Camp: Mary Poppins

    For ages 8-12 years old
    July 20th - 14th
    9am - 3pm
    $500.00 + $100.00 Materials Fee

    Days involve singing, acting, dancing, theater games, swimming and each week will revolve around a different show. At the end of each week, there will be a short, informal performance for the parents at pick up time.
  • 8. Musical Theatre Camp: The Lion King

    For ages 8-12 years old
    July 27th - 31st
    9am - 3pm
    $500.00 + $100.00 Materials Fee

Virtual Camp Offerings

  • 1. Spanish Camp - 3rd & 4th Grade

    For rising 3rd & 4th Graders
    Every Tuesday from July 7th - August 4th
    9am  - 9:50am
    $75.00

    The kids will learn basic vocabulary and expressions, share information about themselves ( name, age, nationality, favorite color,), greetings and polite Spanish phrases (hello, good morning, good afternoon, good evening, thank you, your welcome), feelings (I am happy / sad / angry, I'm hungry / thirsty / cold / hot / dream / scare), seasons, weather, animals of the farm, numbers 1-20.
  • 2. Spanish Camp - 5th & 6th Grade

    For rising 5th & 6th Graders
    Every Tuesday from July 7th - August 4th
    10am  - 10:50am
    $75.00

    Migrate with us this summer as we explore new things about strange foods from 3 Hispanic countries, marine animals, curiosities about jungle animals and vocabulary related to summer. 
  • 3. Spanish Camp - 7th - 10th Grade

    For rising 7th - 10th graders
    Every Tuesday from July 7th - August 4th

    Migrate with us this summer as we explore new things about geography, animals, sports and culture.
  • 4. Leadership & Activism - 6th - 12th Grade

    For rising 6th - 12th graders
    July 20th, 22nd, & 24th
    9am - 11am
    $90.00

    Now more than ever our nation, our world, is hungry for bold, innovative leaders to light the way to a brighter tomorrow. There is an abundance of causes that deserve and require our immediate attention: the Environment, Social Justice, Public Health and many more. What is calling to you? Leadership & Activism is an opportunity to get into action around your passion for change. We will explore and develop valuable skills that will transform you from bystander to gamechanger.

    Enrolling people to Support your Vision
    Navigating the Setbacks
    Seeing your Vision through to the Finish Line
    For those interested in public speaking, there will be an opportunity to present your vision at the MUSE sponsored virtual event, standUP TEENsummit at the end of the summer. www.standupteensummit.com
    This class is open to incoming 6th-12th grade students. Non-MUSE students welcome, as well.
